Ocean’s 13

The gang’s back in Vegas to plan another heist to avenge a friend who was screwed by a supposed partner for a new casino. Headed by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon, the third Ocean’s sequel focused more on the friendship of this misfit group and touched on the issues of male camaraderie and how men don’t want to admit crying on episodes of Oprah.

Reuben Tishkoff (played by Elliot Gould) was robbed of his share of a new casino even before it got to open. Willy Bank (played by the great Al Pacino) ruthlessly screwed Reuben that the latter had cardiac arrest and had to spend most of his movie time in bed. So Danny Ocean and friends decide its payback time. They put an elaborate plan to make Bank’s casino go bankrupt at the opening night. The plan included every possible way of rigging the games in the casino- from creating specialized dice that will flip with a flick of the cigarette lighter, to faking an earthquake, and seducing Bank’s hardnosed assistant with a fake nose and a small potent dose of the “Gilroy”.

All in all, the movie was engaging and so hilarious especially the exchange among the gang’s members. And talk about the movie’s posters. The posters which were released internationally had different versions to include each time three of the gang’s more popular members (on the 1st and 2nd posters). The posters were very simple yet very elegant. Congratulations to the people who came up with the idea for the posters, and the poster printing company that reproduced them.
